NCT Inspections & Repairs

Nolan Motors carry out NCT inspections and repairs at our workshop in Balbriggan.

The NCT is an annual test of a car’s safety, roadworthiness and exhaust emissions. A valid NCT certificate is a legal requirement for most vehicles over 4 years old. If your car passes its NCT you will receive an NCT certificate, valid until your car must be tested again. If your car should fail, our qualified and experienced technicians at Nolan Motors will make light work of any repairs needed for the retest.

At Nolan Motors we would like to ensure that your car passes the NCT at the first examination keeping you safely on the road, and while we are happy to inspect your vehicle and carry out any repairs to ensure that it passes the test, there are some checks that you can also do at home before you take your car in for its NCT.

• Clean your car and clear the boot
• Check your lights
• Top up fluids such as screenwash and engine oil
• Tell Nolan Motors if any warning lights have come on, even intermittently
• Inspect your tyres for signs of wear or damage
• Check the state of your wipers and replace the blades if they’re not clearing the windscreen effectively
